Why is Devon writing The Green Notebook?

Two reasons. Mostly. I have a blog--The Yellow Notebook--but have noticed that blogs with specific goals seem to shine. So I decided that I would blog about the next two-and-a-half years as we work REALLY hard at squeezing my husband through nursing school while randomly making money, consistently saving ourselves money, raising small children, writing a novel, dealing with the current economy, trusting God and deepening our friendships, et al. Watch the balancing act! Also, my friends have been complaining that blogs tend to be, well... life edited. So I am going to try NOT to edit out the things that make us a real family with real financial and other struggles. And in this ring...

By the way, I have not named my children "Boy" and "Girl." I just like to refer to them that way on the blog. I also refer to my nephew as "Baby."

And here is my tagline:
What economy? Or Diary of a Young, Urbanite, Apolitical, Lower-Income, Middle-Class, Writer, Foodie, Artist, Stay-at-Home Mom.

To Pack or Not to Pack?

Update for the

To Do List for Vaca (X's on the items I completed yesterday, Os for today):

X Clean out fridge
X Pack up and charge cameras
Pack up laptop and cords
X Gather work stuff (tee bins, etc.)
X Clean out office REAL good
X Move yard sale stuff to one location
X Pay bills
X Empty garbages and recycling
/ Clean up the house real nice
X Mow the lawn and trim front bushes
( Return library books
Wash and put away dishes
Pack (clothes, 1 nice, camping, swimming, and toys)
Go over schedule/calendar
O Print out behavior sheets for 2 weeks
Clean out the van
Ready the DVD player and DVDs
Gather up CDs
Make road food and pack it
X Put out mouse poison (just in case)
X Also poison the ants
/ Get Christmas gift from the attic and wrap
Empty and dry out the kiddie pool
Load van
Final sweep and wipe
Call C.R.S., P.P.
( Roll our garbage and call Mr. B
( Prep for Indian dinner
O Paint door

Not looking too good. What does it mean that you skip church to pack and clean up your house?
